The Ministry of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands reported on the start of the National Plan for the Characterization of the Cattle Herd, which will last 120 days on each farm of the national territory and will allow the collection of data from the cattle and buffalo inventory.

In a post on his account on the social network Instagram, he points out that the initiative has as its main objective to remain a statistical operation that will collect updated information on cattle inventory, productive infrastructure, the location of rural production units, among others.

In addition, through the Livestock Characterization application, data is collected to be processed in a survey, a digital tool designed to capture data offline, allowing work in areas without coverage.
