The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, oversaw this Wednesday the deployment of the School Recovery Plan in Catia, to guarantee the start of classes in the month of September.

“I will be monitoring and vigilance between now and the beginning of classes so that schools and schools are up to date, up to date to receive our boys and girls,” said the president in charge.

He pointed out that this is an articulated work between this Plan and the BRICOMILES, “where both the National Government, the community, the family, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in a joint effort, are intervening the schools.”

He recalled that after the double earthquake recorded in the country on June 24, 1,119 schools were affected and 11 were about to collapse or that they collapsed. “So we have to do an intervention to recover them so that they are up to date for the return to class,” he said.

“Nothing has stopped us, this recovery process after the double earthquake is also much broader, because it is precisely to cover all schools through this joint effort, which allows more than 6 million children to return to classes,” Rodríguez added.
