National President: Exxon Mobil is at the center of a revenge operation against the People

On the night of Monday, March 10, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stated that Exxon Mobil is at the center of a revenge operation against the People and, in addition, is carrying out a persecution and extermination” against the American company Chevron.

In its Con Maduro+ program, he stated that “Exxon Mobil mobilized a lot of resources in the past election campaign to support the candidate of fascism who later fled the country and moved a lot of money to try to destabilize Venezuela in those days of June 29 and 30.”

The head of state commented that the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, presented documents this Monday afternoon that come from “very good sources in the United States”, which demonstrate how Chevron has been the victim of a “Machiavellian lobby, a lot of investment from Exxon Mobil, to destroy its investments in Venezuela.”

During his words, he explained that this situation is related to “offshore oil to be delimited” in the Venezuelan Atlantic, which Exxon Mobil intends to seize.

He emphasized that despite Exxon Mobil's attempts to cause harm, Venezuela is going to move forward” and predicted growth in all aspects of the economy this year. “Exxon Mobil is a company that is an enemy of the history of Venezuela and of the people of Venezuela and their right to the future, their right to happiness,” he concluded.
