A total of 315 students from the states of Portuguesa, Lara and Carabobo, together with school communities in La Guaira, actively participated in the training sessions of the II Phase of the Territorialization Plan of the National Scientific Seed Program, which seeks to awaken curiosity, research and vocation in children and young people in the country.
In the Portuguese state, the operation included 236 students and 10 teachers from the Eduardo Chollet Boada High School (Páez municipality), who received training in Computing, Robotics, Chemistry and Astronomy. The activity was led by the Portuguese Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite), in partnership with Infocentro, the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA), Gauss Academia and Unellez.
For their part, in the state of Lara, 54 high school students from Liceo Hermanas Jiménez, in the municipality of Crespo, delved into the fields of microscopy and chemistry, learning the use of laboratory equipment and the management of reagents. In addition, in Carabobo, Fundacite participated in the accompaniment of 25 students from E.T.R. Simón Bolívar in Naguanagua, who explained through an educational and theatrical exhibition the impact of the cosmos and astronomy on terrestrial phenomena.
Finally, in La Guaira, the boys and girls from the Ambrosio Plaza and Luisa Castillo schools experienced the Educational Scientific Route, visiting specialized facilities and laboratories where they interacted with rocket models and experiments guided by professionals in the area.
These actions, according to a press release, are part of the First Summit of the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán.
