National Surgical Plan benefited 51 patients in Ocumare del Tuy

The General Hospital of the Valles del Tuy, located in the La Acequia sector, served as the venue for a new day of the National Surgical Plan, on April 11, where a specialized medical team performed 51 low-complexity interventions for residents of the Tomás Lander municipality.

Beneficiary patients accessed this specialized care through the 1×10 Good Governance system. This mechanism allowed the identification of the surgical needs of the population and ensured an effective response by the National Public Health System.

The initiative seeks, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health, to reduce waiting times and to guarantee free care for the inhabitants of this Miranda jurisdiction.

Mayor Dayana Báez reported that this program has reached the number of 2,000 patients operated on in the town since its implementation.
