A total of 1,750 patients benefited from the national surgical plan with medical procedures of low and medium complexity in the different health centers of the state of Carabobo.
Alexander Leal, the state's sole health authority, reported that the government program provides people with specialized care and access to a quality health system.
He explained that specifically at the Dr. José María Vargas Maternal and Child Hospital, better known as the Southern Maternity Hospital, hysterectomies were performed abdominally or vaginally, according to the local press.
Leal noted that the patients were previously channeled through the VenApp platform and after evaluation by the medical staff, the procedures were executed.
“So far we have treated a total of 1757 procedures in different pathologies and specialties, in this case, we have performed surgeries in the area of gynecology, which had also been requested through the Ven App,” he said.
