National Surgical Plan treated 200 patients in Monagas

A total of 200 patients benefited during the first day of the Regional Surgical Plan of 2024, promoted by the Bolivarian Government of Monagas.

According to information issued by the government, the surgical procedures concerned inguinal, umbilical, abdominal hernias, varicoceles, sterilizations, hysterectomies, cysts, lipomas and ventrations.

In this regard, the Government explained that the conference took place in the seven hospitals of Monagas and was attended by more than 250 medical professionals who performed these procedures.

Luis Velásquez, the beneficiary, said that, “I didn't know that I had this condition until it was detected about 20 days ago in the medical tests at the Military School where I enrolled, because I didn't have any symptoms. This operation is everything to me, it means a lot in my life, since my future lies in my studies in the military career”.
