Nearly 7,000 people from Monagua were immunized during the vaccination week

A total of 6,788 people were treated in Monagas state during the celebration of Vaccination Week of the Americas 2026, said Álvaro Chacoa, regional coordinator of Epidemiology.
According to the newspaper Última Noticias, Chacoa reported that between April 26 and May 3, 9,269 doses were applied, to meet this goal, 221 immunization points were set up and operated continuously from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
He also pointed out that this initiative, framed in the health policies of the Bolivarian Government, allowed the deployment of health brigades in the 13 municipalities of the entity.
The campaign provided coverage to various sectors of the population, from newborns to older adults, prioritizing children, pregnant women and the elderly.
Among the biologics administered, the following stand out: Children's Scheme: Hepatitis B, BCG, SRP, Rotavirus, Polio, Pneumococcus and Pentavalent. And general protection: Influenza, Antiamaryllic, HPV and tetanus-diphtheria toxoid.
