The Continental Network of Solidarity with Cuba and Just Causes expressed its support for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela this Thursday and recognized the transparency of the Electoral System of the South American nation, ahead of the presidential elections on July 28, in the face of attempts to disqualify the process by United States imperialism and the extreme right.

“The United States, with its hegemonic power in digital networks and news agencies, seeks to validate or disqualify electoral processes in our countries, depending on who wins the elections. This action has been carried out systematically in all electoral processes in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The voting system in Venezuela is absolutely safe and inviolable and deserves the recognition of all governments on the continent,” says a statement from the Network, read by its general coordinator Norberto “Champa” Galiotti.

In this regard, he rejected any defamation of the Venezuelan electoral process. “And, since we are neither indifferent nor neutral, we support the presidential candidacy of comrade Nicolás Maduro Moros,” he emphasized.

He said that the members of the organization will disseminate the “transparency and security provided by the voting system used in Venezuela for the presidential elections of July 28, 2024. At the same time, publicize the economic and social advances achieved by the Bolivarian Revolution.

In addition, he denounced that the United States promotes lawfare towards presidents opposed to its interests, “but its policy of double standards was exposed last Monday, July 1, in the ruling of the Supreme Court of the United States, which determined that former presidents of that country have immunity for all crimes they commit during their term of office, including those considered serious, as long as they committed them in the context of official acts.”

No more blockade or imperial interference

In addition, the Continental Network strongly repudiated the maintenance of an imperial siege against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and therefore called for the extension of the fight against the criminal blockade imposed by the United States to these countries, “using all our solidarity force in public activities, reaching universities, unions, social movements, intellectuals, artists, parliamentarians, sports and social clubs.”

“The peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean say enough to the abuses, interferences, destabilization, blackmail, threats, wars, expansionism, annexationism and coups d'etat that the imperial regime of the United States has deployed and is deploying for Our America,” the text states.
