A new national birdwatching registry will formalize this activity for the benefit of natural guides, as well as expedition organizers in national parks and nature reserves in Venezuela.
Regarding this list, the Minister for Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez, was the one who announced it during the closing of the II International Congress of Birdwatching Venezuela 2026.
Thus, this measure will ensure that the deployment of national and international observers in Areas Under the Special Administration Regime (ABRAE) is carried out in a simple, fluid manner and under a fully legal framework.
Simultaneously, it is planned to optimize public management and reduce bureaucratization of administrative processes in the environmental sector, in addition to speeding up the granting of permits for scientific and tourist expeditions.
In addition to this, Minister Rodríguez explained that this record will be integrated into the Integrated Automated System of Administrative Procedures in Parks (Siapap), in which permits are processed at the National Parks Institute.
“Those national and international institutions, public, private and communal companies, interested in the development and progress of this activity, are willing to sign collaborative alliances to continue the development of this very important activity,” he said.
