The National Journalism Award Foundation announced the extension of the deadline for receiving applications for the Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award 2026 until June 5, with the purpose of ensuring greater participation of Venezuelan and foreign journalists residing in the country.

The call, which was originally scheduled to close on May 29, is aimed at professionals who have disseminated works in Spanish between July 1, 2025 and May 22, 2026 through national media.

Applicants must submit their work in printed, audiovisual, digital or graphic format, together with the requirements established by the organization, including the indication of the category to which they are applying, a statement of reasons, a copy of the identity card and a summary of the curriculum.

The Foundation informed that applications will be received exclusively through the email [email protected]. The awards ceremony is scheduled for June 27, as part of the celebration of Venezuelan Journalist Day.
