North Korea successfully tests missile system with multiple warheads

This Wednesday, North Korea carried out a successful missile test with multiple warheads, the state agency KCNA reported.

According to the report, Pyongyang “successfully carried out the separation control and guidance test of individual mobile warheads, (...) which is of great importance in achieving the goal of rapidly developing missile technology.”

Three warheads were separated from a single projectile and were “precisely guided” to three different targets, in addition to an additional decoy warhead, Russia Today (RT) detailed

The test used the first-stage engine of an intermediate-range solid-fuel ballistic missile within a radius of 170 to 200 kilometers.

This would be North Korea's first public launch event related to the development of a missile with multiple warheads, although it is at a preliminary stage.
