Nueva Esparta will host the First Regional Surf Ticket

The coasts of the state of Nueva Esparta are ready to receive the First Regional Surf and Bodyboard Valid, a sporting event that will bring together the best talent in the board in the island entity on August 29 and 30 at the Macai Beach Club. The waves of Guacuco Beach will serve as a stage for athletes of various categories to demonstrate their technical skills, maneuvers and mastery of the waves, in a competition to promote beach athletics.

“The competition has open categories starting at 18 years old, and also categories ranging from under-18 to under-14, short board, bodyboard, longboard and padel board,” said Willie Barraez, president of the Surfing Association of the state of Nueva Esparta (Adsene).

The sporting event represents a high-performance showcase for local youth and stimulates the revitalization of tourism and the economy in the coastal area. With the planned attendance of wave enthusiasts, surf schools and families, the event reaffirmed the potential of Margarita Island as an ideal epicenter for holding major sporting events in the Venezuelan Caribbean.
