The number of fatalities left by the earthquake with magnitude 7.6, which occurred on January 1 in Japan, rose to 206, according to the authorities of that country, reported by international media, while at least 567 people were injured due to this earthquake phenomenon and so far 52 people are missing.

The Government confirmed 91 deaths in the city of Suzu, 83 in Wajima, 20 in the town of Anamizu, five in the city of Nanao, four in the town of Noto, two in that of Shika and one in the city of Hakui.

On the Telesur portal, he reported that the temporary evacuation centers are still 26,000 people and about 3,100 residents are still isolated due to damaged roads and other transport routes.

In addition, some 15,000 homes suffer power cuts and another 59,000 have not had running water since the day of the accident.

The search and rescue of victims and the transfer of supplies are hampered by the constant aftershocks of the earthquake, including one that occurred on the eve of magnitude 6 and which increases the risks of further damage.
