Workers in the oil sector marched this Thursday in support of the Partial Reform Project of the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons, which is being debated in its second discussion this afternoon in the National Assembly (AN).

During the march that began from Avenida México in Bellas Artes, in Caracas, the oil workers present expressed their resounding support for the draft reform of the Hydrocarbons Law, since in their opinion, this legal instrument will allow the country to position itself as a world leader in the production of crude oil.

“We Venezuelans are convinced that it is necessary to update the law to continue to guarantee our sovereignty,” said one of the workers participating in the march.

Other workers assured that it is a new opportunity to strengthen the country's economic and energy sector, through international agreements with both domestic and foreign companies.

Not only are we supporting the initiative of this reform, but we strongly support the decisions taken by the Bolivarian Government,” he added.
