The opposition governor of the state of Cojedes, Alberto Galíndez, ratified this Tuesday his commitment to the defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela and his rejection of the war threats of the United States (USA) against the country.
During his participation in the installation of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, headed by President Nicolás Maduro, Galíndez read the document that reflects the categorical rejection of any attempt at foreign interference, and reaffirms Cojedes's commitment to stability and peace in the country.
He also emphasized that they reject policies that promote sanctions or foreign interference, stating that they do not offer sustainable solutions, and only deteriorate the living conditions of the people.
The regional president urged the extremist opposition to abandon the path of violence and the calls for aggression against the nation, so he quoted a prayer from Saint Francis of Assisi, as a message “for Venezuelans who are here and those who presume, pretend, promote the violation of national sovereignty.”
“Hopefully, instead of promoting stalking Venezuela and that our sovereignty may be violated, we can enter into the fundamental reason for politics, which is dialogue, which is voting and which is constructive conversation,” Galíndez urged.
“Today, with the differences I have, with the ruling parties, to whom I express my respect, I confirm my firm and democratic position to continue in the fight until peace and reconciliation are achieved in Venezuela,” he emphasized.
