Opposition leaders reject imperialist threats and join the call for unity in defense of sovereignty

Leaders of the political parties of the Independent Electoral Political Organization Committee (COPEI) and Arepa Digital called on all sectors of the country to unite in defense of the territorial integrity of Venezuela.

In this regard, in a statement in favor of the sovereignty and self-determination of the Venezuelan people, the general secretary of the COPEI political party, Juan Carlos Alvarado, expressed his categorical rejection of any form of foreign interference, especially those coming from the United States government.

“Where are the resources that have been kidnapped and frozen from the Venezuelan State? Where is the gold that was stolen from Venezuela?” , questioned Alvarado, demanding clear answers to the economic blockade that directly affects the well-being of the people.

In this context, he reiterated his firm call for national dialogue as a fundamental tool for building a new development proposal that would improve the purchasing power of workers and move towards a more just and sovereign country.

“We set ourselves up to work on a national dialogue, without exclusions, with the objective of recovering what belongs to us and building together the future we deserve,” he said.

For his part, the president of the Arepa Digital party, Daniel Ceballos, joined the repudiation of the actions of the North American Government by denouncing the deployment of military troops in the Caribbean as a strategy of intimidation against the Venezuelan people.

“The policy of the United States and Trump to militarize the Caribbean is wrong and is part of the wrong decisions that we have seen in the past,” he said.

In the same way, he recalled that it was that same administration that supported the so-called interim Government of Juan Guaidó.

Ceballos urged dialogue between nations as a peaceful way to resolve differences, which reaffirms his organization's commitment to the peace, sovereignty and dignity of the Venezuelan people.
