The President of the Republic of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega emphasized that General Augusto César Sandino left a legacy of struggle and commitment in the history of the people of the Central American nation.

During the celebration of the 46th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution, he emphasized the importance of continuing along the anti-imperialist path to guarantee peace for Nicaraguans and the region.

“Let's remember Sandino's words to the gringos: 'I don't give up or come to him, nor do I sell him or give up'”, he said.

He urged us to be alert to the threats of the American empire that it has deployed around the world and to unite the efforts of all Peoples to counteract the damage that has plagued the United States at the global level.
