Padrino López: Maximum popular union!

As part of the national call for the enlistment of the Bolivarian Militia, the sectoral vice-president of Defense and National Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, urged the need for maximum unity in the face of imperialist aggression.

“Maximum popular union, maximum national union, maximum conscience and also maximum combative spirit to overcome the imperialist aggression that is currently looming over Venezuela,” said Padrino López from Plaza Bolívar de Petare.

During his speech, he rejected the disinformation campaigns promoted by US imperialism, stressing that the manipulation, distortion and discrediting of Venezuelan institutions will not succeed in undermining the popular conscience or the legitimacy of the political-military leadership of the Republic.

“We are not a fake nor are we drug traffickers. We will defend the dignity of this country. That lie is going to keep its legs short as always, in the face of the conscience of a people that are on the streets, that is breathing, that really exists,” he said.

The vice president emphasized that the enlistment process represents a voluntary expression of the Venezuelan people, who are mobilizing in defense of sovereignty, production, education and work. He emphasized that the call by the commander in chief, Nicolás Maduro, transcends ideological differences, placing the Homeland at the center of collective action.

Finally, he announced that in the coming days an assessment will be made of the enlistment process, which will continue throughout the country for the coming weeks.

“It's impossible for us to record the soul and popular sentiment in just two days. We are becoming more articulated in the territories, in the states, in the municipalities, in the parishes, in all the squares and barracks. This is going to continue the next few weekends,” he said.
