This Monday, the government of Pakistan confirmed the imminent start of a new phase of diplomatic dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States (USA). The announcement was made by the Pakistani Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, who noted that these talks seek to continue mediation efforts to reduce regional tensions and reach strategic agreements between the two nations.

This new call comes after a series of previous discussions held last Saturday in the capital, Islamabad. According to Minister Asif's statements, this meeting served as a solid basis for mutual understanding, highlighting the willingness of delegations to address complex issues in a neutral and constructive environment provided by the Pakistani authorities.

The balance of initial contacts has been described as highly satisfactory by the Executive of Pakistan. “Nothing negative emerged in the talks; only positive developments,” said the defense minister, stressing that the absence of setbacks at the negotiating table is an optimistic sign for international stability. These developments reinforce Pakistan's role as a key diplomatic bridge in the current geopolitical context.

The date and specific agenda items for the next round of negotiations are expected to be defined in the coming days. Meanwhile, the international community is watching closely this process, which represents one of the most significant efforts in recent months to reactivate direct communication channels between Tehran and Washington in search of a peaceful resolution to their differences.
