Last Monday, the authorities of the Palestinian territory warned that hospitals in the area are 48 hours away from the total collapse due to the Israeli blockade that has prevented the entry of humanitarian aid for more than two months.

According to information from the Palestinian Resistance Movement (HAMAS), this situation puts the lives of thousands of patients and injured at risk.

The Media Office of the government of the Palestinian territory echoed the warning issued over the weekend by the Ministry of Health, which said on Sunday that the supply of fuel available in health centers was sufficient for three days.

In a statement, the government office of the Gaza Strip indicated that hospitals are 48 hours away from the total collapse, including intensive care units, day care centers and operating rooms.

He also condemned the systematic crime committed by the Israeli government in preventing fuel from reaching hospitals, describing this action as a “flagrant violation of the Geneva Convention and a direct contribution to the deepening of the current health system disaster”.
