This Sunday, the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) announced its decision to release the hostage of dual Israeli-American citizenship, Edan Alexander.
The decision comes after direct talks held in recent days with the administration of the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, as reported by the group itself.
The efforts of the resistance group are focused on achieving relief from the hunger and disease situation of Gazans, who are experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises in their history, after Israel unilaterally broke the ceasefire agreed in January and closed all border crossings, completely preventing the entry of essential humanitarian aid.
Faced with this situation, HAMAS had declared that it would not negotiate with Israel as long as it maintained its policy of death by starvation against the inhabitants of Gaza, so it made efforts to negotiate with the United States.
