Strong riots broke out in the French capital following the victory of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League final, forcing local security forces to intervene forcefully.

According to the official balance sheet of the French authorities, around 336 people were arrested across the European country, of whom 235 were arrested exclusively in Paris, the epicenter of the altercations, where nearly 20,000 people were celebrating the team's victory.

The situation escalated rapidly when demonstrators attacked public order by creating makeshift barricades near the Princes Park, and anti-riot agents carried out dispersion maneuvers to control violent groups that intended to boycott the celebration with aggressive actions.

The French Ministry of the Interior anticipated the risk of disorder and mobilized 22,000 police and gendarmes across the country. Paris concentrated a massive deployment of 8,000 officials aimed at containing the escalation of aggressions in the metropolitan area.
