The Paseo Los Próceres in Caracas was filled with color, brightness, music and joy with the traditional Carnival parade in which floats, troupes, individual costumes with the massive participation of families, in an activity organized by the authorities of the capital could be seen.

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, in statements to Venezolana de Televisión, expressed her joy and welcomed the attendees “in the name of the national Government together with the People's Power, we began this historic parade every year”.

“What a joy, we have started this parade of floats, here we are going to see the representation of the creativity of parishes, institutions, individual costumes, bands, floats and troupes, we are going to see the wonders of the people of Caracas and La Guaira,” he said.

He emphasized that there are four consecutive years with the participation of the state of La Guaira, and thanked the governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán and the mayor, José Manuel Suárez, for their consecutive presence in the parade.

For his part, the head of government of Caracas, Nahúm Fernández, stressed that Paseo Los Próceres was filled to the brim with joy at the start of Happy and Safe Carnivals 2025.

He also announced that 80,000 children are expected per day this Carnival season, in spaces equipped for family enjoyment by Caracas residents.

He noted that the Mayor's Office of Caracas, together with the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism, organized carnival events “to provide unforgettable days.”

Fernández , congratulated the Carnestolenda 2025 meeting “because what we are going to see here is pure Venezuelan creativity, our carnivals are unlike those in other countries, our carnivals are Venezuelan and ours is the best (...) Happy Carnival 2025, long live Caracas!”

The Viva Venezuela 2025 Carnival seeks to guarantee the enjoyment of Caracas families from the 22 parishes of the Bolivarian Liberator Municipality of Caracas, visitors from the interior of the country, as well as visitors from abroad, and to promote the right to recreation of children, young people and adults and promote national identity with Venezuelan traditions.
