The state company Petrleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) and the Colombian company Grupo Gilinski signed an agreement this Friday to carry out primary activities in the Bare Block of the Orinoco Oil Belt.
The signing of the document, led by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, was in charge of Jaime Gilinski Bacal, president of the Gilinski Group, and Giovanni Martínez, Executive Vice President of PDVSA.
“I am very happy that this agreement, and I know that other investments that the group is making in the country, are added to pay for good cooperation between sister countries such as Venezuela and Colombia,” said the president in charge.
He stressed that the demonstrated interest in investing in Venezuela “is a good sign (...) it is a great sign of the trust that exists in the country, in the laws of the country, in the country's regulations and I am very excited that it is a Colombian company that also joins this plan to recover our oil industry to increase production for the benefit of the people,” he added.
