The national hydrocarbons company Petrleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) categorically and absolutely denies the information published by El Español, as these are false, unfounded statements without any basis in reality.

PDVSA clarifies that this Venezuelan state company has never delivered or authorized the delivery of any 'envelope' or document to anyone linked to the facts in question, including citizen Víctor Aldama. Likewise, it is totally false that an oil quota has been negotiated, at Barajas Airport or in any other space, with citizen José Luis Ábalos,” he said in a statement.

The company described it as “a delusional and insulting falsehood that PDVSA has set an alleged oil quota equivalent to 250 million euros, neither for the Socialist Workers' Party (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party), nor for the Socialist International, nor for any member of that political organization.”

The text underlines that PDVSA reserves the right to take legal action in defense of the truth and the prestige of the company of all Venezuelans.
