Peasant Councils by category chose spokespersons across the country

This Sunday, the election of the main and alternate state spokespersons and spokespersons of the Peasant Councils by category, which are part of the Ezequiel Zamora National Peasant Union (UNCEZ), was held to strengthen the structure from the ground up and whose challenge is to strengthen production and contribute to the country's food security.

The UNCEZ elected its 110 spokeswomen and spokespersons for strategic areas in the state of Barinas, in order to enhance technical knowledge and improve productive planning in the 12 municipalities of the llanera entity.

While the agricultural producers of the 5 geographical axes of the state of Mérida elected their representatives, after holding working groups with the objective of strengthening production processes for each agricultural sector specific to the region.

The mayor of the Iribarren municipality in Lara state, Yanis Agüero, said that the state election of this peasant force by category is fundamental, since the Larense entity has a strategic location for the productive development of the country.

In the Portuguese state, 15 strategic issues were discussed at the meetings to elect state spokespersons. Among the proposals to be discussed, the most outstanding points were: corn, conuco, pig farming and poultry farming, which will be added to the proposals for the elections of national spokespersons on March 15, 2026.

The councils of peasants in the state of Guárico elected their spokespersons by category. They also emphasized that it is the same population that elected its own representatives.
