Pedro Gual Institute represents Venezuela at the XVI Meeting of the Ibero-American Association of Academies in Spain

A delegation from the Pedro Gual Institute of Higher Diplomatic Studies (IAEDPG), of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, represents the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the XVI Meeting of the Ibero-American Association of Diplomatic Academies, Institutes and Schools (AIAIED), held in Madrid, Spain, between May 21 and 22.
During the meeting, participants discuss topics such as the role of Ibero-American diplomatic academies in the construction and projection of the Ibero-American Community; the professionalization of the career and the diplomatic function; cultural diplomacy and scientific diplomacy, methodology and practical experiences; as well as the teaching of the languages of the Ibero-American Community in third countries, forms of articulation.
The director of the IAEDPG, Tatiana Pugh, who heads the Venezuelan representation, participated in the session on Cultural Diplomacy and Scientific Diplomacy, Methodology and Practical Experiences, in which she highlighted cultural diplomacy as the way to tell each country's own stories.
In his speech, Pugh presented the advances of the diplomatic academy in terms of the large student universe of the Venezuelan Master's Degree in Foreign Policy and the Specialization in International Economic Negotiations, which currently has more than 425 teachers and candidates for specialists.
He also highlighted that the majority of postgraduate students are women and officials from institutions other than the Foreign Ministry, which demonstrates the interest of Venezuelan professionals in geopolitics and international relations.
