During the National Enlistment Day, which is being held in squares across the country, Pedro Infante, vice president of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), emphasized that this initiative responds to a patriotic conviction, not to a political affiliation.
“The call is for everyone who feels patriotic. This is not an issue between Chavistas and non-Chavistas. It is a call for national union to defend sacred territory, the right to peace, sovereignty and independence,” said Infante.
He emphasized that the Venezuelan people have a historic responsibility and that joining the Bolivarian National Militia represents a commitment to defend the country.
“We carry the legacy of Bolivar, Sucre and Zamora in our blood. Young people, workers and women join the Bolivarian responsibility,” he said.
Infante reiterated that Venezuela does not seek confrontation, but rather stability.
“We are not a country of war nor do we want war. We want peace, the possibility of building the happiness of our people through work and production,” he said.
Regarding his international position, he said: “We respect any country in the world, but we are not afraid of anyone. We were born on the Day of the Brave”.
He called on the People to participate: “If you are over 18 and want to defend this homeland, join the Bolivarian National Militia. The militiamen and militiamen are also reaffirming their commitment to training.”
