The Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) is a body that is being created to bring together, coordinate, the force represented by the country's legislators in the different levels of government, said Pedro Infante, the first vice-president of the National Assembly.
During the first meeting of this political body, Infante pointed out that it includes representatives of municipal, regional and national governments. “Here there are legislators at all levels and from all the parties that live in the Great Patriotic Pole,” he said.
In this regard, he highlighted that more than 5,700 legislators from different levels of government will make up this secretary. “All elected, first in grass-roots party processes, and then elected by the people. Here is one of the most qualified vanguards, most recognized by the people, that the Revolution has.”, he emphasized
“We are founding this Secretariat for Parliamentary Affairs. We must generate a training process for work in the communes to carry out, in an increasingly optimal way, work at each of the territorial levels,” he said while emphasizing that the construction of this instance is a direct line given by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
