Pelotero Felipe Lira is the new sports manager of Senadores in the LMBP

The former Venezuelan pitcher and experienced baseball coach, Felipe Lira, was announced as the new sports manager of the Senadores de Caracas for the 2025 season of the Major League of Professional Baseball (LMBP).
Lira, 52, was part of the pitching coach for the currency title in 2021 and the most recent in 2024. And now he will face a new baseball challenge, having his first experience from the office.
This season the team's coaching staff will be in charge of Jackson Melián as manager and figures such as Luis Jiménez, Francisco Rodríguez and Alex Delgado.
In the United States, Felipe Lira was the pitching coach of the Arizona League of the Chicago White Sox from 2014 to 2019. Likewise, he played the same role for many years in the LVBP with Tiburones de La Guaira.
