The peoples of the African continent promoted unity and cultural exchange this Thursday, highlighting their ancestral heritage and their ethnic diversity, on the second day of the 8th Cultural Festival with the Peoples of Africa, which is held in the spaces of the Tiuna El Fuerte Cultural Park, located in the El Valle parish of Caracas, organized by the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs in conjunction with other institutions of the Bolivarian Government.

This eighth festival, under the motto “Venezuela and Africa: a single rhythm of peace and unity”, includes exhibitions of dance, music, photography, crafts, gastronomy and traditional costumes, among other indigenous elements of mother Africa, in order to make visible the importance of African cultural development and its influence on the American continent.

The international guest from Ethiopia, Sosina Bogale, said: “This festival is a bridge of brotherhood between Caracas and the community of African States, to build alliances and project the cultural diplomacy of both nations.”

For Toiñ Bull, a visitor from Equatorial Guinea, he said that the motto of this Venezuela-Africa edition “implies the rescue of the values that unite both continents, in addition to promoting the cultural legacy of oral traditions, art and medicine that have transformed global history.”

Regarding the health area, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and several African countries have been carrying out exchanges with medical students for years, with the objective of training doctors and specialists, said Quinta Intchete, from Guinea Bissau.

This event reinforces Pan-Africanist identity, solidarity and cultural exchange, and seeks to strengthen the South-South unity of the African Union as a vital project of international integration.
