Plan Disarmament has succeeded in reducing gun crimes across the country

The director general of the National Disarmament Service (Senades), C/G Yover Barrios, reported that through the voluntary disarmament plan, the delivery of firearms and ammunition to Venezuela is below the figures for crimes committed with these instruments.
“This is due to the leadership of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Cap. Diosdado Cabello Rondón,” he said.
He emphasized that these actions are carried out by the Senades in the national territory as a preventive public policy in the country and is focused on preventive actions at the first apex of the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission.
In the same way, he stressed that when different weapons are seized for criminal acts by security organs, as part of forced disarmament or those that have been voluntarily surrendered, a process of disabling them is carried out at first and then they are sent to the General Directorate of Weapons and Explosives (DAEX) of the Ministry of People's Power for Defense, for destruction.
