Poliguaicaipura dismantled illegal digital mining center in Los Teques (+Miranda)

Members of the Criminal Investigation Service
(SIP) belonging to the Autonomous Municipal Police Institute
of Guaicaipura, working together with
officials of the Bolivarian National Guard, seized a
batch of cryptomining technology in the parish of Los Teques.
According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas
Noticias (UN), the director of Poliguaicaipura, Carlos
Andrade, explained that the procedure took place in a house in the
Piedra Azul housing estate, in the Lagunetica community.
“During
the inspection, police officers detected an undeclared
technological infrastructure, allegedly used for the processing of cryptographic
algorithms to the detriment of the Venezuelan State's
national electricity system,” he said.
It was also known that 70 high-power miners (Whatsminer
M30S and Antminer models), 61 printed circuit boards (PCBs) with
specialized microprocessors for hashing calculations were seized, as well as 17 high-performance
switched power supplies; spare parts for the maintenance of the digital farm.
