A recent public opinion study carried out by the firm AtlasIntel in collaboration with Bloomberg reveals that the current president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, is leading the electoral preferences for the presidential elections of 2026.

According to the poll, Lula da Silva leads the voting intention with 46.6%, maintaining a competitive advantage over his main contender, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, who has 39.7% support.

The survey also evaluated a scenario in which the current president does not participate in the race. In this scenario, the Workers' Party (PT) would maintain its competitiveness through the former minister and current head of the economic portfolio, Fernando Haddad, who leads with 40.5% of the sympathies, slightly exceeding the 39.2% obtained by Flávio Bolsonaro.

The survey was carried out between April 22 and 27, with the participation of 5,008 Brazilian citizens across the country. The study presents a confidence level of 95%, consolidating itself as one of the most robust indicators of the current political climate in the South American giant.
