Pope Francis confirmed the canonization of Blessed José Gregorio Hernández

Pope Francis confirmed on Monday that he has already signed the canonization of the Venezuelan blessed, Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, thus culminating that almost 40-year process.

A video released by a journalist from a Colombian newspaper shows Bergoglio saying: “I'm going to canonize the doctor. I don't know when, but I already signed.”

In the video of just under a minute you can see the supreme pontiff talking to a man identified as Venezuelan, and who is very emotional when the pope confirms that he signed the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández.
