More than 2,000 street vendors of Popular Economy met with the candidates of the Caracas GPPSB in a large meeting held in the Plaza El Venezolano in downtown Carcas, in order to present the proposal for the Popular Economy Law, which was discussed from the ground up in all the parishes of Caracas so that they can improve their quality of life.

In this regard, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, candidate for the GPPSB main vote in Caracas, proposed to deepen the social protection of the Popular Economy, “because we are a single team, the street deputies, the ones who are going to win, so that you are the ones who go to the Notional Assembly to present the laws and have the National Assembly sit here with you.”

He urged efforts to continue promoting commendation at all levels: communes, cooperatives, family and individual enterprises, small entrepreneurs and the informal economy, which are economic pillars of a country.

For his part, Reny Paruta, candidate for deputy to the AN voted list in Caracas by the GPPSB, said that they encountered the Popular Street Economy: “An economy that has historically been on offensive, in survival, which have been vindicated under the name of the popular economy, were formerly known as the informal economy.”

He stressed that more than 2,000 colleagues who carry out an economic activity were concentrated to show the strength that the bodies in collective management have built and presented a bill of ordinance and territorial structure, “to join the battle in the construction of territorializing politics, the economy and especially street parliamentarism with the people legislating.
