More than 2,000 vendors of Popular Street Economy met with candidates for deputies to the National Assembly for the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB), in Plaza El Venezolano in Caracas, in order to present the proposed Law on Popular Economy.

This bill was discussed from the ground up, with the participation of residents from all the parishes of Caracas.

As a candidate for the GPPSB main vote in Caracas, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, who was present at the event, proposed to deepen the social protection of the supporters of Popular Economy.

“We are a single team, the street deputies, the ones who are going to win, so that you are the ones who are going to present the laws and that the National Assembly meets with you,” said Maduro Guerra ñ.

He also urged to continue joining efforts to continue promoting the economy at all levels: communes, cooperatives, family and individual enterprises, small entrepreneurs and the informal economy, “because they are the economic pillars” of a country.

For his part, Reny Paruta, also a candidate for deputy to the AN, assured that the Popular Street Economy has historically been on offensive, in survival and that they have been vindicated under the name of the popular economy, before they were known as the informal economy.

He stressed that the more than 2,000 colleagues who carry out an economic activity have built bodies in collective management and presented a bill of ordinance and territorial structure.
