PORTUGUESA-ARAURE/Jorge Rodríguez formalizes delivery of the Law for the Promotion and Promotion of Coffee in Portuguesa

The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, visited the Portuguese state to formally hand over the Law for the Promotion and Promotion of Venezuelan Coffee to producers and roasters at the facilities of the Botalón Group. At the meeting, held in the town of Araure, the importance of this regulation recently sanctioned by the Parliament to provide comprehensive legal support to those who promote coffee production in the country.
During his speech, Rodríguez highlighted the articulated work model that is observed in this region: “This activity is increasingly fruitful or like this group in which we are here today, which is the Botalón Group, which is a private group that works with the National Government in the search for solutions for the people.” The head of the Legislature emphasized that the law seeks to raise the quality of the sector and guarantee direct benefits for farm workers.
In this regard, the spokesperson of the producers present at the event celebrated the inclusion of women coffee growers and youth in the new legal framework, stressing the importance of constant training. The law dedicates specific sections to the strengthening of the peasant sector and the integration of new actors in the production chain, with the objective of turning coffee into a fundamental pillar for the economic development of Venezuela.
Rodríguez closed his participation by reiterating the human value of the coffee business, stating: “We, those of us who manage the savannas, who are coffee producers, all of us have suffered in our lives, we understand what beauty is and we know what love is.”
With the official delivery of this legal instrument, the State reaffirms its commitment to the sector, providing the necessary tools for domestic coffee to achieve competitive standards and ensure the prosperity of families dedicated to this strategic sector.
