President Delcy Rodríguez arrived in Rome to participate in the FAO Global Forum

The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived in
Rome, Italy, to participate in the World Food Forum 2026, which
is taking place at the headquarters of the United Nations
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) until October 16.
The president heads the Venezuelan delegation that will
attend the working days, focused on food security, international
cooperation and the transformation of agri-food systems.
Upon arrival, Rodríguez was greeted by the chief economist
of FAO and coordinator of the forum, Máximo Torero, together with the
Venezuelan ambassador to Italy, María Elena Uzzo, and the country's permanent representative to that organization,
Marilyn Di Luca.
The delegation is also composed of the
Sectorial Vice President of Communication and Culture and Minister of Communication and Information,
Miguel Pérez Pirela; Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia; the Minister of Food,
Carlos Leal Tellería; and the Minister of the Office of the Presidency, Juan Escalona.
In addition, the First Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs and responsible for Europe and North America, Oliver Blanco, and the
Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs, Joaquín Pérez, participate.
The forum, convened by FAO, brings together spaces for debate
on the challenges of agricultural production, the impact of climate change
on food systems and actions to guarantee access to food
