President Delcy Rodríguez celebrates the start of Venezuelan baseball: Let them let go of the ball and the best one will win!

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, celebrated this Monday the start of the 2026-2027 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), with the opening match between the defending champions Navegantes del Magallanes and Tiburones de La Guaira, at the José Bernardo Pérez Stadium in Valencia, at 7:00 pm.

“The passion that unites us is back! Today marks the start of a new season of the LVBP, where eight teams and millions of Venezuelans share the same emotion: the love for our baseball!” , said the president in a message posted on her social networks.

The publication was accompanied by a video, in which the head of state showed herself wearing the La Guaira shirt, “in homage to the Guaireños, the Guaireñas who lost their lives during the double earthquake”, but which “also symbolizes the energy of recovery of our Homeland,” she stressed.

“I wish the best in this Professional League. Well, let them let go of the ball and the best one wins. Arriba Venezuela,” Rodríguez remarked.
