President in Charge: Decent and Safe Clearance Plan has removed more than 580,000 tons of debris

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, presented a comprehensive balance of the efforts of social care and rehabilitation of the national habitat.

During her speech, the President explained that, through the execution of the Decent and Safe Clearance Plan, implemented in coordination with local teams, international technicians and specialists from the United Nations (UN), the removal of 28% of the debris in the affected areas has been completed, representing approximately 580,000 tons cleared under environmental protection protocols.

In terms of housing, the president in charge reported on the award of 335 completely new homes, directly benefiting 1,172 people, as well as the comprehensive rehabilitation of 1,001 additional buildings to favor another 3,503 citizens.

Rodríguez assured that the institutional goal is to deliver more than 4,000 additional homes before the end of this year, guaranteeing permanent care to families who continue to be in a situation of refuge or temporary transit after the natural contingency.
