As part of a sovereign policy of respectful relations and strategic cooperation, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a working meeting with representatives of the British hydrocarbons company, Shell, in the Simon Bolivar Hall of the Miraflores Palace to evaluate gas projects.
This meeting was attended by Adam Lowmass, regional vice president of Shell S.A; the president of Global de Gas, Cederic Cremers; Elías Nucette, vice president of Shell S.A and Alfredo Urdaneta, representative of Shell S.A in Venezuela; as well as the president of Petrleos de Venezuela , S.A, Héctor Obregón, among other Venezuelan authorities.
It is worth noting that Venezuela is the country with the largest oil reserves in the world, since it has 300 billion proven barrels and is on track to be certified as the world's fourth natural gas reserve.
Hydrocarbon Engine
In the same vein, it is important to stress that the Hydrocarbons Engine contemplates three (3) fundamental elements for the growth of the oil sector, such as production, supply and export, as the perfect formula for increasing energy in the country.
Therefore, on January 29, the Partial Reform of the Organic Hydrocarbons Law was unanimously approved in the National Assembly (AN), which adapts to a new global energy context and promotes investment by prioritizing domestic production.
In this context, this Wednesday, February 25, the President in Charge held a meeting with senior representatives of the African Energy Chamber (AEC), with the purpose of strengthening energy alliances that add to the strengthening of the oil and gas sector.
Shell Company
Shell is primarily a large global energy company dedicated to the production of oil, natural gas and renewable energy solutions, and headquartered in The Hague.
This company has a long history with an uninterrupted presence in more than 70 countries, such as Venezuela, where it maintains social investment and energy activities.
