President (E) Delcy Rodríguez ratified sending the Simon Bolivar Brigade to Colombia

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified the sending of the Simon Bolivar Brigade to Colombia, with the purpose of providing humanitarian aid and joining the rescue of survivors after the earthquake registered in the New Granada nation this Monday, August 10.

This was expressed from the Fernando Toro High School, in the state of La Guaira, where he activated the School Reconstruction Plan through the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (BRICOMILES).

“I have received calls from governors from the West of the country, from the Andean states that already have brigade members working with the National Government ready and waiting for Colombia to say to go and provide the supportive support of our people,” he said.

The president in charge expressed her message of solidarity to the Colombian people who are currently experiencing the attacks of nature.

He emphasized that “we know how painful (an earthquake) can be and from here our condolences to the families who lost loved ones, friends. The condolences of the People of Venezuela.”
