The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with high-level officials from the Department of the Treasury and the United States Department of State.

The conference held at the Miraflores Palace, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, takes place within the framework of the foreign policy agenda for the strengthening of bilateral relations, under the principles of Peace Diplomacy.

The Presidential Press portal states that its purpose was to review a shared economic development agenda to strengthen tangible and existing agreements in various strategic areas, in the commercial, financial and energy fields.

Another relevant issue is the search for energy market stability and the reactivation of financial mechanisms that benefit national socio-economic development.

The U.S. delegation was led by the Assistant Undersecretary for International Financial Affairs of the Department of the Treasury, Jonathan Greenstein; and the Assistant Undersecretary for Terrorist Financing, Jonathan Burke.

The responsible Head of State was accompanied by the Sectorial Vice President of Economy and Finance, Calixto Ortega; Félix Plasencia, Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Relations and International Trade; Luis Pérez, President of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV); Oliver Blanco, Vice Chancellor for Europe and North America; Anabel Pereira, Administrative and Digital Government Sector Vice President, among other authorities.
