The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said this Thursday that the government of the United States (USA) does not have any allied political force in the Latin American country.

“This person that they have appointed as the head of the right wing is very isolated and repudiated in Venezuela. Today we could say that the United States has no allied political force in Venezuela, because this lady called María Machado, in Venezuela they call her the 'sayona', has 85% of rejection, of total repudiation of Venezuelan society,” said the President in an exclusive interview with writer and journalist Ignacio Ramonet.

He stressed that neither Machado nor what she represents would have the capacity to govern Venezuela. “I know they know. In the north they know it and in general in the world they know it. And they need to know that we, the country's patriotic forces, President Maduro, far beyond the PSUV, far beyond the Great Patriotic Pole, currently has more than 70% of support in the fight I am waging for the defense of national sovereignty and for peace.”
