The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that the anchoring of boats in the Morrocoy National Park will now be carried out exclusively in buoys and not on corals, as part of immediate actions to stop environmental deterioration.

The instruction was carried out in Falcón state, where he supervised compliance with environmental protection and sustainable tourism measures in the Morrocoy National Park.

He stressed that the measure seeks to prevent the destruction of reefs, one of the park's greatest riches, and represents a significant change in the operational dynamics of sailors and tour operators.

Morrocoy touches the soul, it's a park that's too spectacular, too beautiful. We have to take care of it for everyone and for everyone, so thank you all and to keep working, to take care of Morrocoy and to make Morrocoy sustainable,” he emphasized.

He also commented that new announcements will soon be made by the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello and the Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Freddy Ñáñez, to encourage economic activity while preserving the environment.

The President in Charge highlighted the importance of applying practical solutions that generate a great positive environmental impact, ensuring that the Government team remains deployed as a single body to protect this Venezuelan natural heritage.
