The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that during 2025, more than 125,000 tons of sausages were produced in the country, a record number in the sector in the last ten years.

He explained that this was achieved “thanks to the economic dialogue where we listened to the sector. We detected the problem, since a lot of imported sausages entered the country, even without further documentation, and protection measures were immediately adopted to accompany the sector. Thus, we achieved this result.”

The president in charge offered the balance sheet in the company of the Sectorial Vice President of Economy and Finance, Calixto Ortega Sánchez, the Minister of the People's Power for Industries and National Trade, Luis Villegas, the Minister of the Popular Power for Food, Leal Tellería, and the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia, who accompanied her during the tour carried out this Monday, February 09 at the Rio de Oro Food Processing Plant.
