The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, welcomed the 2026 Series of the Americas, which began this Thursday, February 5, with the participation of seven countries and a “People united in the passion for baseball”.

This was stated on his account on the social network Telegram, in which he said: “Welcome to the Series Of The Americas 2026! 7 countries participating and a people united in their passion for baseball”.

In a video attached to the message, the president in charge said that “a few minutes before the start of the Series of the Americas, which will take place in Caracas, Venezuela, seven countries will be participating and my invitation is for them to attend.”

“To baseball lovers and fans, welcome to this Series of the Americas,” he said.

This Thursday, February 5, the second edition of the Series of the Americas kicked off in Venezuela, whose main venues will be the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium in Caracas and the La Guaira Forum, and will run until Friday, February 13, and will bring together delegations from Cuba, Colombia, Nicaragua, Curaçao, Panama, Argentina and Venezuela.
