President in charge of delivering the Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Unit of the Hospital Universitario Ruiz y Páez de Bolívar

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, delivered the Virgen del Valle Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Unit and the Ruiz y Páez University Hospital Complex in Bolívar state.
“We are delivering the completely rehabilitated and equipped Ruiz y Páez University Hospital Complex, which gives me great satisfaction. The nuclear medicine and radio therapy unit was also delivered with a linear accelerator, a CT scanner and portable X-rays, which is a major breakthrough for the community of Ciudad Bolívar and nearby areas that may come to be treated,” he said.
The unit, which has a linear accelerator and a state-of-the-art tomograph, has the capacity to treat 120 patients a day and prioritizes the immediate care of 213 people already registered with pathologies such as breast, prostate and laryngeal cancer, guaranteeing the fundamental right to free health, cutting-edge technology and human quality.
The day was attended by the governor of the entity, Yulisbeth García, as well as the sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Isabel Iturria, the Minister of Popular Power for Health , Noramith Gutiérrez and other state authorities.
